Job Description
We are looking for a creative, talented, and detail-oriented Video Editor & Content Creator to join our team. The ideal candidate should be capable of producing engaging news videos, creating social media content, and transforming news stories into high-quality visual content for our digital platforms.
Key Responsibilities
· Edit news videos, reels, shorts, and other social media content.
· Create engaging video content for Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok.
· Develop creative content ideas based on current news and infrastructure projects.
· Add captions, subtitles, voiceovers, transitions, sound effects, and background music.
· Create video thumbnails and basic social media graphics when required.
· Research trending topics and help develop content strategies.
· Ensure accuracy, quality, and consistency in all published content.
· Work closely with the editorial team to meet daily content deadlines.
Requirements
· Experience in video editing and social media content creation.
· Proficiency in editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, CapCut, or similar tools.
· Understanding of social media trends, reels, shorts, and digital storytelling.
· Creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines.
· Basic understanding of news content and storytelling.
· A portfolio or samples of previous work are preferred.
Preferred Skills
· Motion graphics and animation.
· Thumbnail design and basic graphic design.
· Scriptwriting and content research.
· Experience working with news media or digital publications.
