Description
We are looking for a responsible and organized Stock Manager / Inventory Controller for our side mirror manufacturing factory.
We manufacture 50+ different items/models, and the main responsibility of this role will be to ensure that the required raw materials, components and finished goods are properly tracked and always available for production.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate stock records for all raw materials, components and finished products.
- Monitor material requirements for 50+ different products/models.
- Ensure sufficient raw material is available before production starts.
- Maintain minimum stock levels and inform management before any material runs short.
- Keep proper records of stock received, stock issued to production and remaining balance.
- Maintain material requirements/BOM for each product.
- Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile them with records.
- Identify shortages, excess stock and slow-moving materials.
- Coordinate with the production and purchasing teams regarding upcoming material requirements.
- Prepare daily/weekly stock and shortage reports for management.
- Keep the store/warehouse properly organized with clear identification of materials.
- Reduce stock discrepancies, wastage and unnecessary purchasing.
- Maintain records using Excel and/or inventory management software.
Requirements
- Previous experience in inventory, warehouse or stock management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Strong record-keeping and numerical skills.
- Ability to manage a large number of different parts and raw materials.
- Must be organized, responsible and detail-oriented.
- Experience with BOMs, production inventory or ERP/inventory software will be preferred.
- Able to physically verify stock when required.
Main Objective of the Position
The Stock Manager will be responsible for making sure that production never stops because a required raw material or component was not available in stock.
The person should be able to determine what materials are required for each product, monitor current quantities and inform management in advance whenever purchasing is required.
