Description
Job Summary
We are looking for a responsible, competent, and experienced Site Supervisor to oversee
day-to-day construction site activities and ensure that construction work is carried out
according to approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project schedules.
The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of construction site operations,
good knowledge of building materials and construction methods, and 2–3 years of relevant
experience in construction supervision. The candidate should be capable of coordinating
workers, subcontractors, suppliers, and site activities while maintaining safety, quality, and
timely completion of assigned work.
Key Responsibilities Site Supervision & Daily Operations
Supervise and monitor daily construction activities at the assigned site.
Ensure that construction work is carried out according to approved drawings, designs, and
project specifications.
Coordinate and supervise labor, subcontractors, and site workers.
Allocate daily tasks to workers and monitor their performance.
Ensure that work is completed according to the planned schedule.
Monitor site progress and report daily activities to management.
Identify delays, site issues, and construction-related problems and report them promptly.
Ensure proper coordination between different construction teams and trades.
Maintain discipline and professional conduct at the construction site. Construction Quality
& Workmanship
Monitor the quality of construction work and ensure compliance with required standards.
Inspect ongoing work to ensure proper workmanship and execution.
Ensure correct use of construction materials and equipment.
Check dimensions, levels, alignments, and other construction requirements as applicable.
Identify defective or improper work and ensure necessary corrections are made.
Ensure construction activities are completed according to approved methods and
specifications.
Coordinate with engineers and management regarding technical and construction-related
issues. Materials & Equipment Management
Monitor the availability and proper use of construction materials at the site.
Coordinate with management regarding material requirements and shortages.
Check received materials against required quantities and specifications.
Ensure materials are stored properly and protected from damage or wastage.
Monitor the proper use of tools, machinery, and construction equipment.
Report damaged, missing, or insufficient materials and equipment to management.
Minimize unnecessary material wastage at the construction site.
Labor & Subcontractor Coordination
Supervise daily activities of labor and subcontractors.
Coordinate work schedules with subcontractors and site teams.
Ensure workers understand their assigned tasks and responsibilities.
Monitor labor productivity and attendance where required.
Ensure subcontractors complete work according to agreed requirements and timelines.
Resolve routine site-level coordination issues and report major issues to management.
Maintain proper communication with workers, subcontractors, suppliers, and project
management. Progress Monitoring & Reporting
Monitor daily and weekly construction progress against project schedules.
Prepare and submit daily site progress reports as required.
Record completed work, ongoing activities, manpower, materials, and site issues.
Report project delays, technical problems, and resource requirements to management.
Maintain proper records of site activities and construction progress.
Assist management and engineers in monitoring project timelines.
Provide regular updates regarding the status of assigned construction activities.
Requirements
Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related
field will be preferred.
2–3 years of relevant experience in construction site supervision.
Good understanding of DHA by-laws and construction regulations, with the ability to ensure site activities comply with applicable DHA requirements.
