Description
The Bee-R (Bee Racing) Rev Limiter is a universal ignition-cut device designed primarily for older, Japanese fuel-injected cars, particularly Nissan, Toyota, Mitsubishi, Mazda, and some Subaru models. It is commonly used for drifting or drag racing to create "bang-bang" (anti-lag) sounds and exhaust flames, rather than for engine protection.
Nissan: Skyline (RB20, RB25, RB26), Silvia/180SX (SR20), 350Z (VQ35), and Juke (MR16DDT).
Toyota: Supra (2JZ), Celica, AE86 (with EFI conversions), and 86/BRZ.
Mitsubishi: Lancer Evolution (4G63).
Subaru: Impreza (EJ20/EJ25).
Function: Cuts ignition to create a secondary rev limit, allowing unburnt fuel into the exhaust to create pops and flames.
Compatibility: Works on most 4, 6, and 8-cylinder engines, but it is not recommended for modern cars with complex CAN bus systems or strict factory ECU limitations.
Risks: Using this device can cause damage to the catalytic converter, lambda sensors, and increase stress on the engine.
Installation: Requires splicing into the ignition wiring harness, usually at the ECU.
