The Restaurant Manager oversees the entire daily operation of the restaurant, ensuring excellent customer service, efficient workflow, and profitability. The position can be physically demanding, requiring standing for long periods, working under pressure, and repetitive motion. The Restaurant Manager must work efficiently and quickly to keep up with the pace of the restaurant and ensure the best and steady service according to standard operating procedures (SOPs). Their responsibilities include: 1. Completing all tasks according to SOPs and food safety standards. 2. Handling customer concerns and complaints and willingness to learn and follow specific procedures. 3. Consistently showing up for shifts on time and ready to work. 4. Recruiting, training, and supervising staff members. 5. Scheduling shifts and managing payroll. 6. Providing ongoing coaching and performance feedback. 7. Handling disciplinary issues as necessary. 8. Maintaining high standards for food quality and presentation. 9. Monitoring kitchen operations to ensure consistency and efficiency. 10. Conducting regular inspections to uphold cleanliness and organization. 11. Overseeing day-to-day operations, including opening and closing procedures. 12. Assisting head office in inventory management to minimize wastage and maintain stock levels. 13. Ensuring adherence to food safety and sanitation standards. 14. Implementing cost-control measures to optimize profitability. 15. Monitoring and analyzing financial performance, such as sales and expenses. 16. Assisting head office to develop and implement marketing strategies to attract and retain customers. 17. Utilizing social media and other channels to promote the restaurant. 18. Planning and executing special events or promotions. 19. Preparing budgets and financial forecasts. 20. Monitoring expenses and identifying areas for cost savings. 21. Analyzing financial data to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
