Full Time *On-Site Johar Town, Lahore* Hours: 9 AM to 6 PM Mon - Fri with Alternate Saturdays are ON.
We are seeking a hands-on R&D Engineering Manager to lead multidisciplinary product-development projects from initial requirements and concept development through design, procurement, prototyping, testing, validation, and production handover. Candidate will manage mechanical design engineers and workshop resources while coordinating closely with electrical, embedded, software, procurement, production, and project-management teams.
Key Responsibilities1. End-to-End Project Ownership
· Lead engineering projects from requirements and concept development through design, procurement, prototyping, testing, validation, and production handover.
· Translate business and product requirements into practical engineering specifications, deliverables, milestones, and acceptance criteria.
· Prepare project plans, task assignments, material requirements and progress reports.
· Manage multiple projects simultaneously and identify technical, resource, material, cost, and schedule risks at an early stage.
· Maintain clear records of project decisions, assumptions, technical issues, design changes, and pending actions.
2. Mechanical Design & Product Development
· Lead the design and development of mechanical systems, assemblies, structures, components, and products.
· Create, review, and approve 3D CAD models, mechanical drawings, assemblies, and manufacturing documentation.
· Optimize designs for functionality, safety, performance, reliability, manufacturability, maintainability, and cost.
· Apply sound engineering principles relating to materials, fits and tolerances, GD&T, loading, corrosion protection, and fabrication methods.
· Ensure designs are practical for fabrication, assembly, inspection, testing, servicing, and repeatable production.
3. R&D, Prototyping & Problem Solving
· Plan and oversee prototype fabrication, assembly, commissioning, modification, and validation.
· Work directly with engineers and workshop teams to convert concepts and engineering designs into functional prototypes.
