Job Summary
The Order Taker is responsible for visiting assigned retail outlets, booking sales orders, maintaining customer relationships, ensuring product availability, and achieving assigned sales targets within the designated territory.
Key Responsibilities
Visit all assigned outlets according to the daily route plan.
Book orders accurately and submit them to the distributor/company on time.
Ensure maximum product availability and visibility at retail outlets.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with retailers and shop owners.
Introduce new products, promotions, and trade schemes to customers.
Monitor competitor activities, pricing, and market trends and report findings to management.
Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.
Ensure proper merchandising and product placement at outlets.
Resolve customer complaints and coordinate with the sales team for timely solutions.
Maintain records of customer visits, orders, and collections (if assigned).
Identify and open new outlets within the assigned territory.
Follow all company policies, procedures, and reporting requirements.
Requirements
Minimum Matric / Intermediate (Graduation preferred).
Experience in FMCG sales, especially Tissue, Hygiene, or Consumer Products, will be preferred.
Good communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to travel within the assigned territory.
Must have a motorcycle and a valid driving license.
