Description
The NComputing X550 is a legacy desktop virtualization kit that lets up to 6 or 11 users share a single host computer.
Key Components & Capacity
• Kit Contents: Includes one full-height PCI card, five XD2 access terminals, vSpace virtualization software, and mounting screws.
• User Limits: One kit allows 5 additional users via the XD2 devices plus 1 user on the host PC (6 total). Adding a second X550 card scales the system up to 11 users.
• Peripherals per Station: Each XD2 unit features a VGA port for a monitor, two PS/2 ports for a keyboard and mouse, an audio speaker jack, and an RJ45 port.
• Power & Cabling: Powered directly by the PCI card through Cat 5e (up to 5 meters / 16 feet) or Cat 6 (up to 10 meters / 33 feet) cables, drawing only about 1 watt per device.
Status & Support
• End of Life / Support: NComputing officially reached End of Life (EOL) for the X550 on June 30, 2020.
• Software Compatibility: It is not compatible with modern vSpace Pro or current enterprise platforms, requiring legacy vSpace software versions
