Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Kitchen Manager to oversee daily kitchen operations, maintain high food quality standards, and manage kitchen staff efficiently. The ideal candidate should not only be strong in management but also have practical cooking skills to effectively guide, train, and support the kitchen team.
The candidate must have experience in preparing and managing a variety of fast food items, including burgers, pizzas, wraps, fries, and pastas, ensuring consistency in taste, quality, and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily kitchen operations and food preparation activities
- Supervise, train, and manage kitchen staff (chefs, cooks, assistants)
- Ensure consistent food quality, taste, and presentation standards
- Strong practical cooking skills with hands-on kitchen experience
- Must have in-depth knowledge of fast food preparation and different recipes of pizzas, burgers, wraps, fries, and pastas
Should be able to prepare and understand multiple variations of each item (taste profiles, sauces, and recipes)
- Ability to train and guide kitchen staff by demonstrating proper cooking techniques
- Develop and implement kitchen SOPs and hygiene standards (food safety compliance)
- Manage inventory, stock levels, and ordering processes
Control food costs and minimize waste
- Assist in menu planning and improvements
Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards are maintained at all times
- Handle staff scheduling and shift management
Coordinate with restaurant management for smooth operations
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager, Head Chef, or similar role
- Strong practical cooking skills (must be able to cook and demonstrate techniques)
- Ability to train and guide kitchen staff through hands-on involvement
- Good knowledge of kitchen operations, hygiene, and food safety standards
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication and organizational skills
Experience in inventory and cost control
Preferred Qualifications:
- Culinary degree or relevant certification (preferred but not mandatory)
- 3–5 years of experience in restaurant or hotel kitchen operations
- Experience in managing kitchen teams in busy restaurant environment.
