Description
Key Responsibilities
Assist chefs with basic food preparation, including washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients.
Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, workstations, and food preparation areas.
Wash dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchenware.
Receive, inspect, and store food deliveries according to company procedures.
Monitor stock levels and inform the supervisor of low inventory.
Dispose of waste safely and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times.
Support the kitchen team during busy service periods.
Perform any other duties assigned by the Head Chef or Kitchen Supervisor.
Qualifications & Skills
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is an advantage.
Basic knowledge of food hygiene and safety practices.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Good teamwork and communication skills.
Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights.
Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
