Junior SEO WordPress Developer
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior SEO WordPress Developer to join our growing digital team. This role is perfect for someone who understands the basics of WordPress development and has a strong interest in search engine optimisation (SEO). You will work closely with our marketing and content teams to build, optimise, and maintain WordPress websites that rank well and deliver real results.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and customise WordPress websites using themes and page builders
Optimise websites for SEO (on-page, technical, and basic off-page tasks)
Conduct keyword research and implement SEO best practices
Improve website speed, performance, and mobile responsiveness
Set up and manage plugins (SEO, security, caching, etc. )
Optimise meta titles, descriptions, headings, and internal linking
Monitor website performance using tools like Google Search Console and Google Analytics
Fix basic technical issues such as broken links, redirects, and crawl errors
Required Skills & Qualifications
Basic to intermediate knowledge of WordPress
Understanding of SEO fundamentals (on-page, technical SEO)
Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and basic PHP
Experience with SEO tools (e. g. , Yoast SEO, Rank Math, Google Analytics, Search Console)
Understanding of website speed optimisation
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Preferred (But Not Mandatory)
Experience with Elementor or other page builders
Knowledge of schema markup
Basic understanding of backlink strategies
Familiarity with hosting environments and cPanel
