The IBM System x3850 X5 (Type 7143) is a 4U rack-mounted enterprise server designed for high-density virtualization, supporting up to 4 Intel Xeon E7-4800/8800 series processors (up to 10 cores per CPU). It features 64 DIMM slots for up to 2TB of DDR3 RAM (3TB with optional MAX5 memory expansion). It includes 7 PCIe Gen2 slots, hot-swap SAS/SSD drives, and redundant power supplies
