micro1 is engaging Engineering & Data tools Specialists to contribute expertise to a dynamic customer project focused on engineering and data tooling. In this role, you'll apply your expertise to help train next-generation AI systems. Your work will shape how models learn, reason, and perform through high-quality, real-world input. No prior experience in AI is required — your domain knowledge is what matters. This is an opportunity to work with a diverse tech stack, leverage your cloud and infrastructure knowledge, and provide valuable feedback on industry-leading tools across both engineering and data domains.
Scope of Work
Evaluate and provide insights on the usability and effectiveness of engineering and data tools such as GitHub, Azure, Metabase, and JIRA.
Create comprehensive documentation and feedback reports based on real-world tool usage and best practices in engineering environments.
Design, review, and test workflows integrating cloud solutions (e. g. , AWS, Azure, Firebase) and developer productivity platforms (e. g. , Linear, Postman, n8n). Analyze data visualization, monitoring, and CI/CD tools—including Tableau, Datadog, Sentry, and BrowserStack—for integration potential and process improvements.
Contribute to the development of detailed use cases, technical guides, and process documentation for new features and data workflows.
Collaborate closely with project stakeholders via strong written and verbal communication, delivering actionable recommendations and technical insights.
Preferred Qualifications
3+ years direct, hands-on experience with engineering, developer tooling, and cloud infrastructure platforms.
Proficiency with a variety of tools, including GitHub, Postman, AWS, Firebase, Azure, Datadog, Sentry, JIRA, Linear, n8n, Twilio, Databricks, Tableau, Metabase, and BrowserStack.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a strong focus on clarity and technical accuracy.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, data science, or equivalent practical experience.
Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex technical feedback into actionable improvement proposals.
Experience supporting both cloud/infrastructure and developer tooling domains is highly desirable. Self-driven, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in an independent, remote contributor capacity.
