About the Role:
We are looking for a motivated and skilled Electroplating Setup Manager to supervise and manage our in-house electroplating unit. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience in managing electroplating processes (Nickel-Free, Gunmetal, Antique, Golden plating, etc. ) and should be capable of running small to medium-scale production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and manage the day-to-day operations of the electroplating unit.
- Supervise plating processes such as Nickel-Free Nickel, Gunmetal, Antique -Brass/Silver/Copper, Golden Finish, etc.
- Monitor and control chemical compositions and maintain environmental safety standards.
- Ensure timely plating and finishing of products as per customer specifications.
- Handle basic troubleshooting of electroplating baths and equipment.
- Maintain chemical inventory and consumption reports.
- Train and guide assistants/operators in plating processes.
- Ensure quality control and plating thickness according to standards.
- Coordinate with the production and quality departments for order requirements.
- Keep documentation and safety records as per standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Requirements:
- 1 to 3 years of experience in electroplating (preferably with metal trims or garment accessories).
- Basic knowledge of plating chemicals and safety standards.
- Ability to manage small team and oversee production cycles.
- Familiar with equipment such as rectifiers, barrels, plating tanks, etc.
- Diploma/Technical Certification in Chemistry, Surface Treatment, or related field is a plus.
- Strong sense of responsibility, discipline, and attention to detail.
