- Made from the trunk of coconut trees, mostly in South India and Sri Lanka
- Heavier and denser than willow bats, so it gives more power but less timing
- Used a lot in tennis ball cricket and gully cricket because it’s cheap and tough
- Doesn’t have the same “ping” as English willow, but lasts longer and handles rough use
- Looks darker brown with a distinct grain pattern
