# Job Description – Civil Draftsman
**Job Title:** Civil Draftsman / CAD Draftsman
**Department:** Civil Engineering / Construction
**Job Type:** Full-Time
**Work Location:** Faisalabad, Pakistan
**Salary:** Negotiable, based on experience and skills
## Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and responsible Civil Draftsman to prepare accurate technical drawings, construction plans, and layouts. The candidate should be proficient in AutoCAD, understand civil engineering drawings, and be able to work with engineers, architects, and site staff.
## Key Responsibilities
1. Prepare 2D drawings using AutoCAD.
2. Draw building plans, floor plans, elevations, and sections.
3. Prepare structural and architectural drawings as instructed by engineers.
4. Read and understand engineering sketches, plans, and specifications.
5. Make corrections and revisions according to site requirements.
6. Prepare detailed drawings for construction work.
7. Maintain drawing files, revisions, and project records.
8. Coordinate with engineers and site supervisors to resolve drawing-related issues.
9. Check dimensions, measurements, levels, and drawing accuracy.
10. Follow project standards and complete drawings within deadlines.
## Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Civil Technology, or a relevant field.
- AutoCAD certification or practical drafting experience preferred.
- Fresh candidates with strong AutoCAD skills may also apply.
## Required Skills
- Good command of AutoCAD 2D.
- Ability to read and understand civil engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of building plans, elevations, sections, and dimensions.
- Basic understanding of construction materials and methods.
- Knowledge of MS Office.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and teamwork.
- Ability to meet deadlines and follow instructions.
## Experience
- Preferred: 1–3 years of relevant drafting experience.
- Candidates with practical AutoCAD skills and relevant training may also be considered.
