BASIC PROCESS
Eligibility Assessment → Job/Offer Verification → Employer Compliance (where required) → Work Permit Application → Decision
For many IMP employer-specific applications, the Canadian employer submits an offer through the Employer Portal and provides an Offer of Employment number to the worker.
IMPORTANT
IMP does not mean “no requirements. ” Eligibility, LMIA-exemption category, employer requirements, documentation, and admissibility must all be assessed according to Canadian immigration rules.
