# Experienced Barista – Specialty Coffee & Café Operations
**Location:** DHA Phase 1 , Rawalpindi
**Salary:** PKR 50,000–65,000 per month, depending on experience and skills
**Job Type:** Full-time
## About the Role
We are looking for a skilled, passionate, and professional Barista to join our restaurant team in DHA Phase 1/2, Rawalpindi. We want someone who genuinely enjoys making coffee, understands the importance of consistency, and takes pride in serving customers a great cup of coffee every time.
The ideal candidate should have previous experience working in a café, coffee shop, or restaurant and be comfortable handling daily coffee operations independently. We are particularly interested in someone who understands specialty coffee, knows how to operate an espresso machine properly, and can prepare a variety of hot and cold beverages to a high standard.
We believe a good barista does more than prepare drinks. They help create a welcoming atmosphere, maintain quality throughout the day, and make sure every customer receives friendly and professional service. We are looking for someone reliable, attentive to detail, well-presented, and able to work efficiently during busy hours without compromising on quality.
## Key Responsibilities
- Prepare high-quality espresso-based beverages, including espresso, Americano, cappuccino, latte, flat white, mocha, and other café favourites.
- Operate and maintain espresso machines, coffee grinders, and other beverage-making equipment.
- Adjust grinder settings and understand the basics of espresso extraction to maintain consistent coffee quality.
- Steam and texture milk correctly for different beverages and create attractive latte art.
- Prepare iced coffees, cold coffee drinks, and other hot or cold beverages according to the menu.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene at the coffee station, including equipment, utensils, counters, and storage areas.
- Monitor coffee beans, milk, syrups, cups, and other supplies, and report low stock when needed.
- Follow recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards to ensure consistency.
- Greet customers professionally, understand their preferences, and handle requests politely.
- Work closely with kitchen and restaurant staff to ensure smooth service during peak hours.
- Follow food safety procedures and maintain a clean, organised, and professional working environment.
## Requirements
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience as a professional barista in a café, coffee shop, or restaurant.
- Practical knowledge of espresso machines, grinders, coffee extraction, and milk steaming.
- Ability to prepare a range of hot and cold coffee beverages independently.
- Basic latte art skills and a good understanding of beverage presentation.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining consistent quality.
- Good communication skills, a positive attitude, and a customer-focused approach.
- Punctuality, honesty, teamwork, and the ability to manage responsibilities during busy shifts.
- Willingness to follow recipes, learn new drinks, and contribute to improving the café's coffee service.
## Salary and Benefits
We are offering a monthly salary of **PKR 50,000 to PKR 65,000**, depending on the candidate's experience, practical skills, and overall suitability for the role.
