Job Summary
The Accounts and Inventory Clerk is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring effective management of the company's stock. This role bridges accounting and inventory operations, helping to maintain smooth financial and supply processes. Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting / Daybook Duties
• Record daily financial transactions including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.
• Maintain daybooks, ledgers, and other accounting records in compliance with company policies.
• Prepare and reconcile bank statements and petty cash records.
• Handle accounts receivable and accounts payable, including timely follow-ups and reconciliations.
• Assist in preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Ensure invoices, vouchers, and supporting documents are properly filed. Inventory
Management Duties
• Monitor and update inventory records accurately.
• Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile with records.
• Track stock levels and alert management when reordering is required.
• Record goods received and issued, and report any discrepancies or damages.
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal departments to ensure smooth stock flow. Requirements
• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience in bookkeeping, accounts receivable/payable, and inventory management.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
• Good communication and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
