Description
The Accounts Officer will be responsible for managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and assisting in the preparation of financial reports. The role requires attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to work within deadlines to support the financial operations of PCJCCI.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Management & Record-Keeping
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions.
Manage accounts payable and receivable.
Prepare and process invoices, receipts, and payments.
Reconcile bank statements and financial accounts regularly.
2. Reporting & Compliance
Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Support in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
Ensure compliance with financial policies, accounting standards, and legal regulations.
Assist auditors during internal and external audits.
3. Payroll & Expense Management
Process staff salaries, deductions, and reimbursements.
Maintain employee financial records and ensure timely disbursements.
Monitor and control expenses in line with budget allocations.
4. Coordination & Support
Collaborate with management to provide financial insights for decision-making.
Maintain liaison with banks, vendors, and stakeholders for financial matters.
Support in financial documentation for projects, events, and memberships.
Qualifications & Skills Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (B. Com / BBA / ACCA part-qualified / M. Com preferred).
2–3 years of proven work experience in accounting/finance (experience with chambers, NGOs, or associations will be an advantage).
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, ERP, or Tally) and MS Excel.
Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
